Day 74: Occupy Wall Street

Posted by Kanaska Carter on November 28, 2011 at 5:10 PM

So a correction has come out in 54 related articles so far stating this:

In a Nov. 23 story about a music project to help raise money for Occupy Wall Street and other Occupy groups, The Associated Press reported erroneously that it was the movement itself that was creating the benefit album and that all money raised would go to the nonprofit Alliance for Global Justice. The project is being done by a group of artists called Music for Occupy, which is not a part of Occupy Wall Street. Half of the proceeds from sales of the CD will go to Alliance for Global Justice, to be put into the Occupy Wall Street general fund; the other half will be distributed evenly among other Occupy general funds elsewhere.

In the same story, Kanaska Carter's first name was misspelled. It is Kanaska, not Kaneska. Carter did not write "Something's Got to Give" with Matt Pless; Pless wrote it.

Thank you Universe!
