I feel compelled to write about this today.

Some of those closest to me have chosen to exclude themselves from my life due to my beliefs and viewpoints on different topics.

Because I am viewed as 'anti-government' - they are put in a position where they do not wish to be a part of my life anymore. Being cut from Christmas with them was hard enough. My brother does not want to lose his job with the military. So this blocks me from him, his wife and my nieces.

This rips at my heart.

I need to re-explain what it is I believe.

I am not anti-anything. I don't hate the government. I don't hate anything. I am pro peace. I'm sure those people who work for the 'government' could go 50/50 some individuals are good and some individuals may not have the best intentions for others.

The whole point behind me writing these pieces is to hopefully shed light on issues and potentially show information to individuals that may possibly be of some interest or use to them.

If I see suffering I want to help. So I write articles for those individuals who need a voice.

Or I make videos, paint a picture or write a song about it.

These are forms of expression and we all have the freedom to express ourselves as long as we do not hurt others or ourselves. Although sometimes this does happen.

Just for the record, I would like to say that I do not 'hate' the government. What I dislike is

betrayal, deceit, cruelty and our fundamental freedoms being taken away from us.

Forgiveness is always possible despite what you may have done. Redemption is always possible.

You cannot please everyone so I have come to find.

But I refuse to change the fundamental root of who I am, because someone disagrees.

Freedom for all.
